PhD project

For the Institute of Biomedicine there are three types of PhD positions:

* Project related PhD positions; wholly or partially financed by Sahlgrenska Academy - PhD students employed by Gothenburg University. Positions advertised twice per year.

* Externally funded PhD positions; PhD students employed by Gothenburg University.

* Externally funded PhD positions; PhD students with an employer other than Gothenburg University.

If you are a researcher at the Institute of Biomedicine and wish to establish a PhD project, then you do this either by applying for PhD project financing announced on two occasions per year by the Sahlgrenska Academy. Calls for project proposals are advertised in E-nytt as well as distributed by e-mail. Alternatively you can send in an application for an externally funded project (can be done at any time during the year). See below for application forms.

Send the application to the PhD education coordinator - Institute of Biomedicine, Box 440. She will then get signatures from the Director of Studies and the Head of the Institute and if the application is complete and approved send it to Sahlgrenska Academy to be registered.
