Om Fredrik Bergh Thorén

Fredrik Bergh Thorén is Professor of Medical Cell Biology at Sahlgrenska Cancer Center and the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Institute of Biomedicine at the University of Gothenburg. He obtained his PhD in 2007 on studies of cell death pathways in oxidant-exposed lymphocytes. Between 2008 and 2009, he performed postdoctoral studies on the innate crosstalk between NK cells and neutrophils in the labs of Prof Alessandro Moretta and Prof Lorenzo Moretta at the University of Genoa in Italy. Upon his return to Sweden, he established his own lab with a focus on translational studies of NK cell interactions with myeloid cells in leukemia and inflammation (More info at www.thorenlab.com).
